East Burwood Zone Substation – 66/22kV
Power System Design has successfully completed the detailed primary/civil and secondary design for East Burwood Zone substation. Power System Design was awarded the contract to manufacture / fully configure and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) the protection and control panels.
The project involved the primary and secondary design and refurbishment for an existing brown field 66/22kV substation as follows:
- 2 x 66kV line exits;
- 66kV bus upgrade;
- 3 x 66/22kV 30MVA power transformer bays;
- 2 x 66kV Bus Tie circuit breaker bays;
- Provide a Control / Switchgear Building;
- Establish new 22kV buses and associated 22kV circuit breakers;
- Establish a completely new 66/22kV protection and control system.
PSD were responsible for the supply of the following services/equipment:
Design
- Civil design work - benching; site drainage; control room layout; plant foundations; bunding;
- Design of busbar system and Structural steel work;
- Design of power cables;
- Design of air conditioning;
- Design of earthing and lightning system;
- Design of protection and control systems;
- Settings, fault calculations and relay configurations;
- Design AC & DC auxiliary systems;
- Control cable schedules;
- Integrate to existing equipment.
